Vermentino
⇐ The Little Wine Company Vermentino

Vermentino is an intriguing variety with chameleon-like qualities. Initial aromas of jasmine and white nectarine lead to a textural palate that is savoury, saline and vibrant all at the same time. Pink grapefruit, zesty spice and a crisp minerality all add to the allure. This is an incredibly versatile wine that will appear to change with every sip.

Chardonnay
⇐ Silkman Reserve Chardonnay

Winemaker Liz Silkman is quite simply the queen of Chardonnay in the Hunter Valley; her accolades and trophies are simply too numerous to mention and her success with Chardonnay has been unwavering for over a decade. The Silkman style of Chardonnay sets a benchmark with white peach aromas, hint of struck match and spicy cedar oak.

David Hook Barbera
⇐ David Hook Barbera

David Hook has a special affinity for northern Italian varietals with Barbera his particular favourite. With a characteristic acidity, Barbera is a brilliant accompaniment to food, refreshing the palate and stimulating the appetite. This wine has savoury flavours of dry cherry and prunes with a wild herb background, finishing with a firm acidity and soft, fine tannins.

Mouvedre
⇐ Margan Shiraz Mourvedre

These two varieties are planted as a field blend in the Broke Fordwich region. Mourvèdre thrives in a hot, dry climate and adds a real intensity to the blend. A unique blend, this wine has aromas of blackberry and currants, followed by a palate of cocoa and rich forest fruits. Fine tannins and subtle oak provide a fuller style of Hunter Valley Shiraz with lifted aromatics from the Mourvèdre.
