Petersons of Mudgee has been a thriving estate for almost thirty years. In 1996, Colin Peterson expanded the family’s legacy by establishing a winery in the heart of Mudgee wine country. This 160-acre vineyard, known as Glenesk, has since become a cornerstone of Petersons’ operations, contributing significantly to its diverse wine portfolio.
Under the guidance of operations manager, Jamie Hudson, who has been with Petersons for more than thirty years, the Glenesk Vineyard has flourished. The vineyard boasts more than twenty-five grape varieties, including shiraz, cabernet sauvignon, chardonnay, zinfandel, malbec, saperavi and petit verdot. This diversity allows Petersons to cater to various palates. Jamie’s approach is simple: wine should be enjoyed with friends, a comfy chair and zero pretension.
Visitors to the Mudgee cellar door can experience picturesque surroundings, a welcoming atmosphere and a broad selection of wines, each telling a story of dedication, innovation and the unique Mudgee terroir.
