The estate was founded in 1996 by Stephen and Tracy Drayton, launching the Ivanhoe Wines label and the impressive story to come. 1999 marked the opening of the Ivanhoe Wines cellar door, allowing the estate to share the exquisite taste of its stunning wines. Since then, the estate has continually produced an abundance of the best wine the region has to offer – with some of the Hunter’s best varietal wines coming out of the estate.

The secret behind the winery’s success is the continual determination of Stephen and Tracy at the helm. The estate is known for its big gutsy reds, specifically Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Chambourcin. However, it also offers an impressive array of whites, from Semillon and Verdelho to Chardonnay and other blends. Altogether, Ivanhoe Wines offers twenty-one styles of wine, producing approximately 10,000 cases per year.
