Dryridge Estate

Tucked away in the picture-perfect beauty of Megalong Valley, Dryridge Estate is a boutique vineyard offering breathtaking views, cool-climate wines and an unforgettable experience in an unparalleled location. Surrounded by dramatic, sandstone escarpments, the estate provides the perfect setting for relaxation and indulgence. Just twenty minutes from Blackheath – the nearest Blue Mountains township – and a scenic two-hour drive from Sydney, the winery is ideally situated for a memorable day trip or a peaceful weekend escape from the city.

The vineyard’s location is both stunning and challenging. Battling years of drought, the estate has emerged as the first to produce commercial wines in the valley. The pink granite soil lends a distinctive crisp minerality to their wines – one of the many features that set Dryridge apart. The cellar door offers tastings of these unique wines alongside gourmet cheese and charcuterie boards; all set against the backdrop of what many consider the best cellar door view in Australia.

Behind the scenes are Emma and Simon, a dynamic husband and wife duo whose combined talents have shaped the heart and soul of Dryridge Estate. Simon, originally from Feilding, New Zealand, brings a unique balance of practical farming knowledge and a professional background in finance. Emma, with over two decades of experience in the events and hospitality industries, is the driving force behind the estate’s warm, welcoming atmosphere. Her passion, creativity and meticulous attention to detail shine through in every wedding, celebration and guest experience hosted at the estate.

Together, Emma and Simon have transformed Dryridge Estate into far more than a boutique vineyard – it has become a highly sought-after destination for unforgettable events, relaxing getaways and immersive wine experiences. Their shared vision, dedication and deep love for the land are evident in everything – from the stunning venue to the quality of the wines. Dryridge Estate continues to grow as a standout venue in the Blue Mountains region, attracting guests from all over.

⇐ 2024 Isabelle Riesling

Classic Alsatian style, this wine is pale bordering on clear with lifted floral and grassy aromas. Dry, light, crisp and summery, the wine displays notes of white peaches, mandarin, apricots, cut grass and flowers. Palate is clean, fresh and more acid-driven than previous vintages. Fresh notes of spring blossoms and white stone fruits.

Dryridge Estate
⇐ 2022 Jack Shiraz

Bright red with lavender hues. Raspberries and red fruits first on the nose, then pepper and exotic spice evolve. Tastes of blackcurrant and chocolate. The palate has lively acidity, carrying the fruit long after you’ve swallowed. Tannins are soft and velvety. A charry, coffee note that lingers. Fleshy and delicious!

Dryridge Estate
⇐ 2024 Theodore Tempranillo

This wine is vibrant with upfront plum and cherry, pleasing fruit richness through the mid palate and fresh acidity. When young, it bursts with cherries. When aged, it presents earthy, sweet vanillin flavours. Finish of fine gravelly tannin and spicy oak.
