Owned and managed by the Lorentz family for more than thirty years, the winery reflects a steadfast, enduring commitment to craftsmanship and the region’s unique terroir. The groundwork began in 2000 when David Lorentz planted the first fifteen hectares. In 2021, the estate reached new heights, with an additional ten hectares planted.

Today, the vineyard masterfully maintains twenty-five hectares under vine and produces 100,000 bottles annually, each one with the care and passion the company is known for. Cherry Tree Hill has become widely recognised for its cool-climate varietals, particularly its crisp rieslings, refined chardonnays and elegant pinot noirs. The vineyard’s riesling has earned awards every year, including the prestigious accolade of Best Riesling in New South Wales on two occasions. 

Its chardonnay and pinot noir have achieved similar acclaim, each receiving gold medals, with the pinot noir distinguished as the Best Altitude Pinot Noir in Australia. Honours such as these reflect not only the region’s ideal growing conditions but also the winery’s uncompromising pursuit of excellence.
