Bunnamagoo Estate Wines
Bunnamagoo Estate Wines
Located in the breathtaking Mudgee Region, Bunnamagoo Estate Wines is a must-visit destination for wine lovers, offering exceptional wines in a spectacular setting. At the heart of the estate is a philosophy that great wine begins in the vineyard, and this vision guides every part of the winemaking process. Bunnamagoo Estate Wines is owned and operated by the Paspaley family, whose legacy of more than 100 years of international trade, cultural explorations, and refined taste became the foundation of the winery in the 1990s.
With 106 hectares under vine on-site, the winery produces 45,000 dozen bottles each year, crafting a wide range of sparkling, white, rosé, and red wines. Varieties grown include semillon, riesling, chardonnay, pinot gris, tempranillo, shiraz, cabernet sauvignon, and merlot, with fiano, chenin blanc, and sangiovese soon to debut their first vintage.
Rooted in the rich terroir of Mudgee, each wine reflects the distinct characteristics of the region. As proud members of Sustainable Winegrowing Australia, the estate is committed to environmentally conscious practices that ensure the health of the land and the future of its vineyards. Bunnamagoo Estate Wines is more than a winery – it’s a family legacy bottled with care.
The Bunnamagoo Estate Winery is a family business rich in history and vision. The iconic stone homestead featured on every wine label still stands at the original Bunnamagoo Estate near Rockley – a charming village in the Central Ranges of New South Wales. This historic building is more than just a symbol – it represents the winery’s deep-rooted connection to tradition, place and craftsmanship.
At the Mudgee estate, visitors are welcomed into a warm, relaxed atmosphere where wine is made approachable and enjoyable for everyone – from curious newcomers to seasoned enthusiasts. The cellar door boasts sweeping 180-degree views over the vineyards, offering a serene backdrop to explore Bunnamagoo’s diverse range of wines. With award-winning varietals like the 2023 shiraz – winner of multiple trophies at the Mudgee Wine Show and international accolades – the estate continues to deliver exceptional quality. Guests can enjoy vineyard walks, casual monthly dinners, live music on long weekends and seasonal events that celebrate the wine calendar. Local produce is also available at the cellar door, adding a delicious regional touch to the experience.
