Established in the 1830s by John Morrice, this heritage-listed colonial-era homestead and Headmaster’s Cottage provides charming accommodation, premier wines and gourmet dining in an environment of rich history and serene landscapes. Since the winery’s founding in 1995, it has seen three generations of stewardship, with the current occupation continuing the legacy of land heritage and world-class winemaking.
The onsite café is the perfect hub for a family day out. Serving breakfast, light meals and gourmet lunches daily, guests can enjoy homemade scones, goat’s cheese tarts and steak sandwiches with bacon jam, among other delicious options. All food offered exquisitely pairs with the estate’s stunning wines, offering selections ranging from easy drinking varietals to daring inventive styles. Eling Forest is fully equipped to accommodate weddings, events and conferences for up to 180 guests, featuring a contemporary function centre and stunning outdoor spaces. Tasting Notes

⇐ 2020 Shiraz
This cool climate Hill Tops Shiraz has been picked from a single vineyard. Vibrant, rich and purple in colour, the aromas emit hints of blackberries, dark plums, cassis and spice. Aged in American oak, the structure and length are powerful.

⇐ 2020 Sparkling Shiraz
Selected from a single vineyard, its vivid, rich purple colour is followed through with ripe dark fruit aromas, offering flavourful hints of blackberries, dark plums and spice.

⇐ 2023 Sauvignon Blanc
This classic style sauvignon blanc displays lovely tropical fruit, passionfruit, lime and white peach aromas and flavours. The stunningly soft acidity provides a refreshing and lingering finish

⇐ 2020 Cabernet Shiraz
The cabernet sauvignon has been selected from a Cowra vineyard and the shiraz from a Hill Tops vineyard. Lively in colour, this excellent blend of cabernet and shiraz yields a lovely, rich red colour with aromas of dark berry and plum. Hints of vanilla and black pepper
